For many years, Finnish babies have slept in cardboard boxes. It’s part of a health program that provides expectant mothers with essential supplies, including the box they are packed in, which also serves as an infant bed. And infant mortality is down:

With summer here, many people will be heading to beaches, lakes, and pools. This very important article has been posted every year, but certainly bears re-reading, since it dispels the ideas most people (I certainly did) have about how a drowning person acts. It’s not how you think it is
