That’s my father-in-law. He died on Friday afternoon. He was 91, and had a few health issues (he was 91, after all), including a faulty heart valve that he wasn’t a good candidate for surgery to repair. He was getting to the point where he was suffering more and more every day, and while I won’t say it was a good thing, at least he isn’t in pain and struggling to breathe now.
There probably won’t be anything much new here for a bit, while we deal with the funeral arrangements and other family things.
Stay close to your loved ones, folks. Life is too short, even if you’re 91.
