*cough, cough* It’s kind of dusty in here, isn’t it? *opens cleaning supplies closet. Pulls out mop and bucket*
Well, that’s better! I know I haven’t been around much the last couple months, and yeah, there’s been some Life stuff going on. Mostly good but it’s kept me busy and away from the computer for a bit. And, to be perfectly honest, I haven’t felt like doing much either. I have been in a bit of a funk and just really, really tired feeling. Tired as in I sit down on the sofa and fall asleep almost immediately. It’s not the usual sleeping issues, either, because I have been sleeping better lately. So, a few readjusts and resets, and I am trying to get a better attitude.
I will take the next couple weeks to catch up on what’s been going on around here. First up, home improvement. We got all new windows on the house a few weeks back. Well, they were ordered months ago, but installed in early August. We went with Renewal by Andersen. The old windows were leaky, a lot of the locks didn’t work, and had insulation falling out. We really liked the quality and choices with Andersen, and these windows will last. We also decided to go with black outside trim. I wasn’t sure at first but when the sales guy started showing the pictures, I didn’t see a single one I didn’t like. And with the yellow siding and black shutters, they look really nice. We had the driveway slider replaced also. The screen was broken and didn’t close (or open) easily and the white would have looked out of place. The big one, though, was going from a picture window in front to a bay window. It’s gorgeous! I’ve always wanted a bay window and now we have one. Here are a few pictures:

The front of the house. (Yes, the storm door will be replaced with black.)

Driveway side with new slider

The other side. The room that juts out there is my office.

The new view out the front bay window.
It was a big decision, and definitely not inexpensive, but very worth it. Next week, more catching up! Drink your water. Eat a vegetable. Get outside and refresh. Be nice to one another.
My latest book is a collection of very short stories, half science fiction and half fantasy, called “Crossed Wires and Other Very Short Stories”. I have also written a few other short pieces, another collection, two novels, and an urban fantasy series. You can find most of them at Smashwords, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, and wherever e-books are sold. A few are also available from Amazon in paperback. My novel, “Circle Unbroken” is also on Kindle Unlimited, if that’s your reading preference. You can find out about all of them here.
There are also some stories you can read here on my site, mostly the yearly Halloween short I write, but there are a few others. You can read them from here
