Not that it ever really left. We’ve had rain at least one or two days every week since the every day run of a few weeks ago. We also got a few really nice days- sun, temps in the 70s, low humidity. It was nice. Now, it’s back to rain and humidity. Ah, well, that’s the weather these days, and it won’t be long before this rain becomes snow. I will take rain over snow anytime!
We were in MA this weekend for the MA State chili cook off. Really nice to see this one back after a four year hiatus. COVID killed a lot of cook offs and some just never recovered after the crowd restrictions got lifted. But the organizer for MA did a great job of getting a new brewery being built in town to host the event. It should only get better as the brewery gets fully up and running.
It was also nice to see so many friends from the chili trail again. They were missed when the events weren’t happening. And we had a great day in Winchendon- sun all day, a little warm but not too bad. That was nice because in the past, MA State had a rep for always being scheduled on a rainy weekend. I can remember a few that were held in an absolute deluge! Let’s hope this comeback will break that trend!
I am working on getting myself and Tucker signed up for agility classes. There aren’t a lot of trainers here but I found one who is trying to get a class started soon. From the emails I have gotten, it looks like there may only be one other person in the class, but that would be okay. Haven’t heard anything in a few days, but the last email I got said they were waiting for the other person to respond if the class time was good. I think it will be fun, and Tucker certainly can use the extra activity.
Otherwise, things are pretty much the same as always here. Nothing major going on, and that is often a good thing! Let’s keep the week nice and easy, and enjoy the winding down of summer.
Drink your water. Eat a vegetable. Get outside and refresh. Be nice to one another.
