Not that anything really dire happened, but I just seemed to run out of time to post here lately. Part of it was, of course, my own fault. I just couldn’t seem to get my act together enough to get stuff done, and that left me with no time to give to things that were not absolutely necessary. Of course, there was my father-in-law’s funeral, and a couple out-of-town weekends, and Tucker’s agility classes in there, too. Those were all out of the norm, although the agility will be ongoing, so will need to be part of the weekly plan going forward. We do have one more big trip planned for the end of the month when we go to Myrtle Beach for the Worlds Championship Chili Cook Off. And I spent a week processing and canning tomatoes. Still, I should have been able to keep up with the review posts, at least. I am determined to do better!
So, let’s see. Tucker has been doing great at his agility. I can pretty much run him off leash at his classes and he pays attention to me. Last class, he did wander off once, but came back when I called him. He’s much better through the tunnel, and he got all the way to the top of the A-frame, but didn’t go over. That’s the next goal. Things are progressing well there.
We picked up two boxes of Roma tomatoes from the local farm stand, and I spent last week peeling, gutting, and water bath canning them. I also ran the guts through the juicer and canned some tomato juice. It’s a lot of work, for sure, but having tomatoes from a local farm to cook with all winter will be nice.
Oh, we did go to see Pat Metheny in a solo concert last week. That was, as usual, an awesome show. He’s incredibly talented, and, while I am more fond of some of his work than other phases, he never disappoints at a show. It was a good evening and not far at all from here.
That’s about it for now. Been a bit busy, but most of it was good busy. Drink your water. Eat a vegetable. Get outside and refresh. Be nice to one another.
