Remember last week when I said I sometimes thought it would be nice if it just snowed here? Yeah, well, it looks like Mother Nature was listening. This is what I have outside right now:

Predictions are 12-18 with up to 22 inches in some areas. Be careful what you wish for, right?
On a nice note, we were sitting in the living room this morning, having that first cup of coffee, when the doorbell rang. I went to the door and it was our next door neighbor. He wanted to know if they could borrow a snow shovel from us so they could clear our driveway of the first accumulations. I offered the snow blower which is just sitting on the back porch, but he insisted he needs the exercise! He’s cleared the drive for us before. Very nice neighbors! I will have to bake them a loaf of bread or cookies or something.
I have started going through my library database. I knew there were a few books I have shelved but not entered, so I wanted to identify those and get them listed. Um- a few? I was surprised at the number I tipped out on my shelves. Yes, some of them are on the TBR shelves, so those are ones I haven’t decided if I am keeping or not. And that’s only going through the print books. I haven’t even started on ebooks yet. I am going to have to be better about getting books in the database going forward.
Not much else is going on. Just business as usual. If you are experiencing this storm and cold, I hope it is an easy ride for you. Stay home if you can. Be extra careful if you must go out. Do something nice for a neighbor if you can, and if someone does you a nice turn, be grateful. Be extra nice to everybody- it’s stressful out there right now. Have a good week!
