We went to the Mohegan Sun Arena in Wilkes-Barre, PA to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra. They did “Christmas Eve and Other Stories.” And let me tell you- it felt GOOOOD!!! to be at a live show again. Music is a lifelong love and with all the COVID shutdowns and tour cancelations that past couple years, it has been a long time since I was at a live show. As I posted on FB afterward: “My heart is happy, my soul is refreshed, and my mood is sky high.”
And the show? It was awesome, as usual. They don’t change much from year to year, and this is the one they tour with most. They only do this one tour per year usually, and it is always Christmas. This also marked the twenty-fifth anniversary of TSO touring and this was the show they did then, so it was appropriate. Despite having seen them many times over the year, the shows are always fun, entertaining, and the light shows are spectacular. I have no problem seeing them every year (we haven’t but have a good number of times). I don’t get tired of it. The vocalists are great, the band is great, the narrator is great, the story is lovely. If you are a fan of rock opera with a big, professional, impressive show and you haven’t seen TSO, you should. Trust me, it’s worth it!
I leave you with a few pictures and videos:
