What’s Going On?

It’s been a while since there was an update, hasn’t it? And I have no real excuse. Just lazy and not taking the time to sit and write something up. My bad! So, today I am going to run down what’s been happening around here.

Thanksgiving: It was a good day. There were only five of us for dinner, but that was fine. It made for a nice, quiet day with just the BaldMan’s parents, Steph, and us. Dinner was as delicious as ever, and even if I do say so myself, my cranberry curd tart turned out pretty good!

Fitness: Still going to the gym twice a week. It’s been work, for sure, and some days I really feel the lack of conditioning when that half hour is done, but I also think there’s been some good happening. I haven’t lost a lot of weight yet, but I have (if our biometric scale can be believed) gained some muscle mass. And since that was one of my goals for this first four week segment, I will take it. I have also been trying to keep up with walking daily (I mean, the dog does need the exercise, too!), and doing some yoga daily, and other exercises on non-gym days.

Related to that, when I opened my yoga app yesterday, I discovered that with the last update, they changed the whole dang thing. It’s gotten less about the flexibility and stretch now, and more geared to a bigger workout. But what I want out of my yoga days is the flex and stretch. So I am trying a different app for a few days. Yesterday seemed okay, so we will see.

Trans Siberian Orchestra: We saw then last Sunday. As always, it was a fun show and I fully enjoyed it. The walk from the car to the arena in cold rain wasn’t a lot of fun, but we were close enough to the stage that when the pyro went off, I could feel the heat, so that was okay!

Holidays: I have started decorating the house. Thanksgiving/Fall coming down, and Christmas going up. We should be getting our tree soon, and we added some outdoor decorations this year. The BaldMan is going to work on putting fancy controlled lights in the front window. We also started a Department 56 Dickens Village collection this year. We got a cottage, a chapel, and a pub, as well as a few small accessory pieces. So, place to live? Check. Church for Sunday? Check. And a pub, for the rest of the week? Check. I think we’re off to a good start!

I think that catches up on things around here. Here, have a little pyro to warm up your week:
